Project

Surtaal Symphony is an exciting new musical collaboration combining bhangra band, brass band and soprano voice, originated by composer Liz Lane and RSVP Bhangra.

 

The project team needed branded materials for their first performance on 30th June 2018 at Lydbrook Band's Proms in the Park festival in Gloucestershire. 

 

Starting with a sketch of some Punjabi text provided by band member Judge Singh, I created two versions of a logo: one with a bespoke circular border and one without. We then agreed on a red and yellow colour scheme to echo the saffron colours of India and the golden colours of the brass instruments. Using these elements, I designed a postcard and banner for the premiere on 30th June, and a letterhead template for future use. Facebook and Twitter profile images were updated by the team on 26th June 2018.
